Chris Woods’ career in the entertainment industry has spanned more than four decades. As a director and cinematographer, he has helmed over 500 national and international commercial campaigns for numerous clients worldwide. Woods is best known for his commercial work in lifestyle, sports, and real people themes and has led the second unit direction on several major motion pictures including Forrest Gump, Michael, The Sum of All Fears, Elf, The Core, Priest and the recent The Christmas Chronicles. Woods is also known for his documentary film work with the recent feature documentary ‘To What Remains’ that had its worldwide premier at the American Film Institution’s AFI Fest and the short documentary film ‘Mountain Joy’ that premeired at the Telluride Mountan Film Festival.

Woods continues to pursue his passion for capturing images and performance through the lens as a partner of the Traveling Picture Show Company and Canyon Road Entertainment.

Woods is an enthusiastic athlete and an accomplished aviator having logged over 7,300 hours of flight time piloting numerous types of aircraft ranging from gliders to contemporary and vintage aircraft. His love of aviation and visual storytelling as a director has resulted in several aviation themed award winning documentaries that Woods produced, directed, and for which he filmed all the aerial cinematography.

Woods continues to pursue his passion for capturing images and performance through the lens as a partner of the Traveling Picture Show Company and Canyon Road Entertainment.
